Western Horseback

For Campers Entering 3rd+ Grade

YMCA Camp Indian Springs Western Horseback riding is one of camp's most popular activities. The horseback riding activity is held at our equestrian riding center. The center houses 24 horses.

Each week will consist of about five one-hour classes, including trail rides. Western riding is taught, with an emphasis on fundamentals and safety as well as care and grooming of horses. Campers wanting to improve their English riding skills are encouraged to participate in our English Horseback class.

All campers must wear jeans (not provided), closed toed shoes with heel such as a riding boot, and helmet (provided). Space is limited.
