Paintball For Campers Entering Grades 5+ Paintball is a great activity to promote teambuilding, communication and risk taking. The game is safer than most other sports (soccer/football). Campers must wear protective clothing and we recommend camouflage jump suits, safety goggles (provided), paint and markers (provided). Paintball class is about two hours per day and is available to campers entering 5th grade and higher. We use Tippmann 98 Custom markers for our field markers. We have a screened in 5-man field (5 per team) with various bunkers. Supervised by one of our activity staff, attention to safety and camper knowledge of equipment is always our number one concern. Games are also played in our woods and open pasture in a paintball team version of capture the flag. Participants are taught: safety procedures for handling markers, marker care, proper fitting of safety equipment, communication, basic tactics, paintball games, and other paintball essentials. The program is designed to train beginners while embracing the skills of the advanced players. All campers must wear jeans and long sleeved shirts or cover alls (not provided), closed toed shoes, helmet (provided), and eye protection (provided). Space is limited.
