English Horseback

For Campers Entering 4th+ Grade

In our English Horseback program, campers participate in a two hour activity of professional riding instruction every day. The instruction is supervised by our CHA instructor. The camp will teach participants on all levels of English style riding such as mounted ring work, field rides and jumping. Camper will also learn and actively participate in the responsibilities of caring for a horse.

YMCA Camp Indian Springs provides horses well suited for beginners and advanced riders. Campers may choose to bring their own horse (in the English class only). Campers are encouraged to bring their own riding boots and pants. YMCA Camp Indian Springs will provide helmets.

All campers must wear jeans (not provided), closed toed shoes with heel such as a riding boot, and helmet (provided). Space is limited.
